So ten minutes ago

In the second game of the play offs Willemstad U13 lost to Hubentud Fortuna with 3-4. This result only leaves a theoretical chance for Willemstad U13 to get to the finals.  Due to disciplinary sanction Bjorn and Rouel weren’t able to play and during the game it appeared that this was key to the result. Coach Randell started with the following line-up. Brandon as the keeper. Jhair, Stefan, Luis and Dwensley were the defenders. Giovanni, Yannick and Mats on midfield and Dejan, Duane and Chaendo  the attackers. Luis was substituted in the first half by Jean with an injury. In the second half Yeandro, Yeandrick and Tyrone came in for Dejan and Giovanni . From the first minute Hubentud was the better team. Every ball was played to their number one attacker and he alone was driving the defenders of Willemstad crazy with his rushes. So it was Hubentud who scored the 1-0. This didn’t chance the game around and Hubentud stayed the better team. At every play the Hubentud players were hosteling with far more energy. But it was Duane who out of the blue equalized just before halftime. The second half Willemstad played better but once again it was Hubentud who took the lead. Jhair tripped an attacker and this resulted in a penalty kick for Hubentud 1-2. After this goal Willemstad got a few chances and it was again Duane to equalized the game. Willemstad started to push to go ahead but it was Hubentud who scored with a beautiful goal the 2-3. Then Duane made his third for the 3-3. It looked like Willemstad would have a chance to win this game but a few minutes before the game was over it was once again the big attacker of Hubentud who shook of three players to score the winning goal.

First games of the play offs today. Before Willemstad played agaist Mahuma the other play off game in the U13 was Scherpenheuvel against Hubentud. Scherpenheuvel won that game with 8-0. The U13 of Willemstad had trained all week on the dirt pitch to customize with this kind of pitch because the first play off games were held at Quick ‘60. Willemstad started of very shaky and within a few minutes Mahuma scored the 1-0. From there on Willemstad started to play their game and they were able to push Mahuma back into their penalty area and Willemstad got one chance at the other to score. Dejan was the one who scored the equalizer just before half time. Willemstad was able to go on the way the ended the second half but with all the chances they got not one ended with a goal. Out of a corner by Willemstad the attacker of Mahuma was able to pick up the ball at his own part of the pitch and with a great run with Stefan he was tripped just before the penalty area. The referee gave a free-kick to Mahuma. When the referee blowed his whistle the player who was ready to take the free-kick touched the ball and he took the ball back in his hand to put it back on spot for the free-kick. This was actually a hands ball. The referee said play on and the player scored the go ahead out of this free-kick. This was a very bad decision by the referee. Fortunately Bjorn was able to equalize out of a corner just before the game ended. Willemstad had at least 6 chances to score but ended up with a draw, although they were by far the better team. The next game have to be won by Willemstad to at least end up in second place in the play offs and move on to the finals. Tyrone played almost 15 minutes in the second half as the right winger and had some fine passes and even a chance to header in a ball.

Today Willemstad U13 had to play the number one seat Scherpenheuvel. Scherpenheuvel is alway a difficult opponent for Willemstad. This game And once again showed that. Willemstad U11 was able to keep Scherpenheuvel from scoring the first 20 minutes. On the other end Willemstad U13 wasn’t able to create any opportunities to score either. In the 20th minute Scherpenheuvel scored the 1-0 with a easy shot on the left side of the goal. In the second half Dwensley who was playing defense made a wrong decision by playing the ball back to Stephan, a player of Scherpenheuvel inter vented the ball and scored the 2-0. From there on Willemstad U13 gave the game away and lost 6-0. Tyrone came in the into the match just before half time for Dejan. He didn’t got any changes against this team to play his game. This was the last game of the regular season. The play offs will start on May 8, 2010. The first 4 teams of the regular season will proceed to the play offs. Scherpenheuvel and Willemstad already had their ticket. The other scores this weekend will decide whether Mahuma, Hubentud or Atletiko Salinja will join them.
