Willemstad U13 – Quick ‘60 3-0 (1-0)

Tyrone had to play against Quick ‘60 this weekend with his team for the competition. Quick ‘60 has a team that every year reach the play offs. So they knew in front that this wasn’t going to be an easy game. At the last training the coach had a talk with Tyrone, Mats, Dejan and Giovanni. According to him their skills weren’t improving the last few weeks and they had to give it little more to make the team this Saturday. Coach Randell started with the following line-up: Brandon (keeper), Luis, Duane, Bjorn and Dwensley were the defenders, Mats, Yannick, Tyrone and Geandrik were the midfielders and Geandro and Brandon were the attackers. Both teams started a little slow and the first part of the game was played in midfield. Yannick who was moving to much to the side of the pitch. The result was that the outside players weren’t able to play the ball to the middle and they played the ball in front all the time. Geandro and Brandon had to move to the sides to get position of the ball and this way there wasn’t a real attacker in front. Halfway into the first half Yannick got the ball 25 meters from his own goal at the left side of the pitch. With a very beautiful long ball to the middle of the pitch over 30 meters he played the ball to Brandon. With great pace he was able to dribble to ball towards the goal and he was able to score the 1-0. Up till then Quick’60 didn’t really got a chance to score. From there on most of the match was on midfield again. Tyrone had a few good passes and played ok. Usually I don’t make remarks on the referee but this time I was really surprised by the way he was leading. Ten out of nine decisions of the referee were against Willemstad. In the second half Dejan came in for Mats. Dejan brought more speed to the left side of the team. At one occasion Dwensley was able to get the ball to Dejan. Dejan used his speed to race towards the penalty area he changed the ball to his right foot and kick the ball to the right post of the goal were Brandon was able to get the ball in with a sliding(2-0). From there on it was clear that Willemstad would win this game. Quick ‘60 wasn’t able to do much and Yannick scored the 3-0 some minutes before the end of the game with a nice ball from the right over the keeper. Tyrone was substituted a few minutes before the end of the game by Giovanni and Lisander came in for Brandon who was injured.
