First games of the play offs today. Before Willemstad played agaist Mahuma the other play off game in the U13 was Scherpenheuvel against Hubentud. Scherpenheuvel won that game with 8-0. The U13 of Willemstad had trained all week on the dirt pitch to customize with this kind of pitch because the first play off games were held at Quick ‘60. Willemstad started of very shaky and within a few minutes Mahuma scored the 1-0. From there on Willemstad started to play their game and they were able to push Mahuma back into their penalty area and Willemstad got one chance at the other to score. Dejan was the one who scored the equalizer just before half time. Willemstad was able to go on the way the ended the second half but with all the chances they got not one ended with a goal. Out of a corner by Willemstad the attacker of Mahuma was able to pick up the ball at his own part of the pitch and with a great run with Stefan he was tripped just before the penalty area. The referee gave a free-kick to Mahuma. When the referee blowed his whistle the player who was ready to take the free-kick touched the ball and he took the ball back in his hand to put it back on spot for the free-kick. This was actually a hands ball. The referee said play on and the player scored the go ahead out of this free-kick. This was a very bad decision by the referee. Fortunately Bjorn was able to equalize out of a corner just before the game ended. Willemstad had at least 6 chances to score but ended up with a draw, although they were by far the better team. The next game have to be won by Willemstad to at least end up in second place in the play offs and move on to the finals. Tyrone played almost 15 minutes in the second half as the right winger and had some fine passes and even a chance to header in a ball.
N. Schotte Today Willemstad U13 had to play the number one seat Scherpenheuvel. Scherpenheuvel is alway a difficult opponent for Willemstad. This game And once again showed that. Willemstad U11 was able to keep Scherpenheuvel from scoring the first 20 minutes. On the other end Willemstad U13 wasn’t able to create any opportunities to score either. In the 20th minute Scherpenheuvel scored the 1-0 with a easy shot on the left side of the goal. In the second half Dwensley who was playing defense made a wrong decision by playing the ball back to Stephan, a player of Scherpenheuvel inter vented the ball and scored the 2-0. From there on Willemstad U13 gave the game away and lost 6-0. Tyrone came in the into the match just before half time for Dejan. He didn’t got any changes against this team to play his game. This was the last game of the regular season. The play offs will start on May 8, 2010. The first 4 teams of the regular season will proceed to the play offs. Scherpenheuvel and Willemstad already had their ticket. The other scores this weekend will decide whether Mahuma, Hubentud or Atletiko Salinja will join them. For full story read here: Link In a very very bad match on the side of Willemstad U13 they lost a trainings match against Atletiko Salinja. There was no structure no spirit and no teamwork in today’s match. Tyrone played average. The first half he joint the team in the disorganization but in the second half he played much better. Willemstad U13 opened the score with a goal by Rouel but from thereon Atletiko Salinja took over and dictated the match. Although Tyrone almost scored the 2-0 with a header out of a free kick by Stefan. Out of a scramble Atletiko Salinja equalized in the second half and they even went ahead by a very beautiful goal. Atletiko Salinja really showed that they came to play a good match and did everything in their power to win this match with Brian and Gianni of their team as the two best players on the pitch today. Hopefully Willemstad U13 is able to get on track in the coming week for their last game against Scherpenheuvel and play offs after that. Last year, a Los Angeleno named Scott Addison Clay was invited into Prince’s inner sanctum –literally. Clay recalls the pop singer leading him through “the catacombs of his insanely gargantuan basement.” The tour led into a cavernous room, where a man sat at a drum set. A woman picked up a bass, Prince strapped on a guitar and a private concert ensued. Clay said, “It was the most bizarre thing. Clay and his team were from the marketing firm Cimarron Group, which develops interactive games and such for Hollywood films like “Twilight.” Prince had recruited them to build a platform for his upcoming three-album release. The result, LotusFlow3r.com, resembled a galactic aquarium, featuring doodads like a rotating orb that played videos. The promise: fans who ponied up $77 for a year-long membership would receive the three new albums, plus an ensuing flow of exclusive content, like unreleased tracks and archival videos. A year later, LotusFlow3r has gone dark, thousands of Prince’s fans are very annoyed and Clay has been dismissed from Prince’s kingdom almost as abruptly as he was invited in. A representative for Prince did not respond to request for comment. The episode should serve as a warning to the growing number of artists experimenting with newfangled fan clubs and members-only content sites: feed the beast — feed it often and well — or suffer blowback from your most vocal fans. Things in LotusFlow3r land boiled over last week when some members noticed that their credit cards had been charged an additional $77 — an automatic renewal of their memberships. Making matters worse, many of these members had previously contacted the site’s administrators to say they hadn’t gotten their money’s worth, and they wanted out when their year was up. Prince fan sites lit up. “So far I have paid another $77 for a floating jellyfish which vanishes when you click on it. Well done Prince. Nothing like treating your fans like royalty,” wrote OperatingThetan. Desire2006 added, “It looks like the [Better Business Bureau] will have 2 re-open its ‘Prince’ case file again!!!!!” To his credit, the singer was a Web pioneer, having released an album online back in 1997 following his ugly contract dispute with Warner Bros. But his track record with online fan clubs has been spotty. In 2006, he abruptly shuttered his New Power Generation Music Club with the message, “In its current 4m there is a feeling that the NPGMC gone as far as it can go.” Last week, some fans seemed to blame themselves for getting roped in. “I signed up again, knowing full well what happened to his past Web sites,” wrote IstenSzek. Prince fan Steven Anthony, who was erroneously charged and then refunded, called attention to the fracas — and got a lot of hate from diehard Prince fans — with a scathing open letter to the singer on his blog. Anthony says he was “lucky” to get what he did out of his membership, including a T-shirt and access to tickets for a concert at Paisley Park in Minnesota. But Anthony still feels burned by the LotusFlow3r experience. He says, “I don’t really like Prince that much as a person right now, but I still support his work.” After the hyped launch of LotusFlow3r.com, Prince became an absentee landlord, Clay said. “We only got stuff in dribs and drabs.” Clay declined to say how many paying members the site did attract, but he speculated that the number was a disappointment to Prince. As for the unauthorized credit card charges, Clay said that he didn’t realize that their billing service had activated the automatic renewals. When he and his team saw the charges adding up -– and heard from irate members — they halted the process. He said “a few hundred” members had to be refunded. Once wooed by the Purple One, Clay found himself frozen out not long after the LotusFlow3r launch. He says at one point he was peppering Prince with so many e-mails about the site and its future that the singer called Clay and told him to cut it out. About a month ago, Prince relayed the order for the site to be shut down. Now Clay is in the process of handing over LotusFlow3r.com files to a new Prince representative who Clay describes as “me 2.0.” He and his team were paid for their work, he said, but they never had a written contract. However due to the fact that Excellence weren’t able to play on their home pitch because of some other activity on their pitch, the game was played at Willemstad. So officially Willemstad U13 was the visiting team. Tyrone wasn’t able to play because he injured his knee at school yesterday. Coach Randel started with the following line-up: Brandon as the keeper, defense were Dwensley, Stefan and Luis, Midfielders were Mats, Yannick, Bjorn and Giovanni and the attackers were Dejan, Duane and Rouel. In the second half Jhair and Jean came in for Mats and Dejan. The game started of very slow but Duane was able to open the score for Willemstad U13 out of a solo on the right side of the penalty area. A few minutes later Excellence got a free kick just outside the penalty area and Geffert (a former player of Willemstad) was able to score the equalizer. From there on Willemstad U13 was the only team attacking and Excellence wasn’t able to get in front of the goal of Willemstad U13 more than twice in the entire game. Although Willemstad U13 was the better team they only scored twice after the 1-1. Willemstad U13 could hace scored at least 4 more times but all of the decisions of the referee were in favor of Excellence. He denied a perfectly scored goal by Rouel, He denied a penalty kick when Duane and Jean were fouled inside the penalty area. And even a handsball with both hands by a Excellence defender was denied. Willemstad U13 are able to play at a much higher level than they did today but they won the game and probably will finish in the top four of the league and they will move on to the play offs. The last game of the competition will be at Scherpenheuvel against Scherpenheuvel in three weeks.
